Aly Seidel is “upstate born, Jersey bred,” as she would say, hailing from New York state but having moved to New Jersey as a teenager. As a adult, Aly lives and works in Washington, D.C.
She currently works in strategic email marketing for Education Advisory Board, a higher education best practices firm. Her days include coding out web pages, crafting stellar subject lines, and analyzing data trends to optimize engagement.
On the weekends, Aly leads the Connections Ministry at National Community Church in Georgetown and runs a Bible Study for professional women in the D.C. area.
In the past, she has worked as a writer and journalist for a variety of newsrooms, including the Washington Post, NPR, and USA Today. Aly is a graduate of American University, where she earned two degrees in journalism and political science.
