The Washington Post

On her first day, Aly spent all afternoon interviewing people at the National Mall. She was not dressed for the weather.

In May 2015, Aly finished up a five month stint at interning for The Washington Post. On her first day of work, she pitched a story about the March for Life, grabbed a recorder and spent the afternoon trudging through the mud to find her quotes.

That set the pace for the rest of the spring. She was constantly working with different editors, finding sources, calling PIOs and was never not on deadline. From being on the scene at tragic housefires to desk-reporting on lawsuits states away, Aly covered a wide range of beats at The Washington Post.
